"Alfred Hendrickx Coffee Table, Model 210 Belform Edition"
Alfred Hendrickx Belgian School (1931-1976) He is one of the most prominent Belgian designers of the middle of the 20th century in Belgium. During these years he designed many pieces of furniture for the Belgian publisher Belform. These creations are often both elegant and sculptural. He mainly uses precious and exotic woods. He has also worked for individuals as well as for large institutions, as evidenced by his S3 chair designed for the first class lounge of Sabena Airlines. I am offering for sale one of the most emblematic and representative creations of his work, this rare Model 210 living room bar table produced by Belform in 1950. This table has a sliding shelf lined with enamelled ceramic tiles forming an abstract composition, hides a storage compartment for drinks as well as for newspapers. The structure is in varnished cherry, the cylindrical slats in sycamore maple and the base in black lacquered solid maple. The table has been completely restored respecting the original finishes.
