"Clock Return From Egypt In Gilt Bronze, Blue Enamel - Consulat Period Circa 1800"
Gilt bronze clock in the Return from Egypt style and from the Consulate period or very beginning of the Empire (around 1800-1805). Circular in shape, the openworked dial is white enamelled and has a blue surround adorned with golden stars. At the top, an eagle spreads its wings. The mechanism is placed on a circular openwork terrace supported by 4 sheaths with heads of Egyptian women wearing the Némes, ending in claw feet. Pendulum with radiating mask. Our precious clock is a pretty model, very finely executed with multiple qualitative details: beautiful matt and shiny mercury gilding, blue enamel dial. Our clock is typical of the Consulate period with the return from Egypt style, but it can also be a production from the beginning of the Empire, around 1805 because of the eagle at the top. Our pendulum is in a remarkable state of freshness. No accidents, fresh gilding without wear. the movement seems functional, but we haven't taken it to the watchmaker yet. Height: 39.5cm Width: 13cm
