Beautiful pair of corner cupboards in marquetry of rosewood, amaranth and boxwood, beautiful decoration in queen marquetry, of quartefeuilles in trompe l'oeil trellises (simulating relief), Beautiful trim of chiseled and gilded bronzes , the two corners are topped with their original thick molded gray Sainte Anne marble. Very elegant, the proportions are perfect, without any fault in taste. Note the elegant curved legs, reminiscent of the Louis XV style, the rectangular box with projection and the bronzes already Louis XVI. Stamp of the great Parisian cabinetmaker Martin Ohneberg with the hallmark JME, Transition period around 1775. Of German origin like many Parisian cabinetmakers, Martin Ohneberg settled in Paris and was received as a master cabinetmaker on July 7, 1773. He was a supplier great Parisian haberdashers. Most of his production belongs to the Transition and Louis XVI style, with fine marquetry composed with care, always elegant. He made chests of drawers, corner cupboards and many secretaries. Our pair of corner cupboards are in very good condition, with old restorations (one of the two marbles repaired).
