Important Florentine Writing Table From The Center Of The 16th Century.

Splendid table-writing desk in walnut from the center of prestigious provenance as it is present at the Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati Furniture Auction, Florence, 19 April 1989.

The piece of furniture is characterized by a beautiful 3 cm thick solid walnut top with a well-worn patina, the double drawer in the band with a suggestive central high-relief mask, the double-baluster legs are carved with acanthus leaves and connected by crosspieces on all sides and end in nut feet.

Furthermore, the writing table appears to be finely framed with several orders of carving on the drawers, on the entire rear band and on the beautiful dice that form the prestigious pilasters. Wolf tooth fret that follows the entire perimeter, completes the decoration of the band in the lower part.
