Elegant Biedermeier secretary from southern Germany around 1820. Book in cherry wood veneered on softwood and solid cherry wood, partly blackened. Mahogany veneer interior with drawers and three open compartments. Above a long drawer under the cornice. Below two long drawers with old box locks. Restored and polished by hand with shellac. Dimensions: Metric: H 150cm x W 96cm x D 48cm (closed) / 94.5cm (open) Imperial: H 4' 11" x W 3' 2" x D (closed) 1' 7" / D (open) 3' 1.5"
