Pyrogen Match Holder Voltaire Metal Or Silver Bronze

Both pyrogen and match holder, this small bust of Voltaire on a pedestal is an atypical object. The base opens by means of a hinge and makes it possible to accommodate the matches. The base decorated with a serpentine serves as a scraper. No visible hallmark, metal or silvered bronze. Late 19th - early 20th century. Dimension: Height: 8 cm Diameter scraper: 2.8 cm Good condition. The hinge works well. No damage to report apart from a small, not too visible dent at the back on one shoulder.
