known as Karl von Habsburg (1685 Vienna - 1740 Vienna) emperor of the Holy Roman Empire after a composition by Joh. Bapt. Homann, (1664 Kambach - 1724 Nuremberg) imperial geographer of the Emperor, author in 1716 of the "Great Atlas of the World" (Grosser Atlas über die ganze Welt).

Charles VI was crowned emperor on 17 April 1711 in Frankfurt am Main.
Here he wears the necklace of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Below right a world map with the legend "Constantia and Fortitudine" in a phylactery. In the background, in medallions the ancestors emperors of Charles VI. On the left, the imperial crown surmounting the coat of arms of the Habsburgs.

Rare, remarquable work of "burin".
