Pair of French Regence-period beech cane-back armchairs circa 1715-1723

An elegant pair of molded and carved beech armchairs, with caned seats and backs decorated with a central pomegranate. The curved front belts echo the decoration on the backs.
Our armchairs rest on curved legs terminating in scrolls, joined by X-shaped braces and carved with acanthus leaves highlighting the cambering of the legs, armrests, and armrest supports.

Fine French Regence work, circa 1715-1723.

Our armchairs are in very good overall condition and are adorned with cushions upholstered in a beautiful floral fabric.
