Louis XVI "temple" style clock in Morello cherry marble, Carrara white. Chiseled gilt bronze decorated with friezes of rais-de-coeur, windings and heads and roosters. White enamel dial signed "Le Maire Demouy à Paris 10 rue de l'université" black Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic burgundy every 5 minutes and railway. Very beautiful hands in gilded and chiselled brass with fleur de lysée motif. The set is supported by Doric columns and topped with a pediment with a slight central projection surmounted by a shuttle-shaped vase. Louis XVI style around 1860.
