"Two Greek Embroidered Towel Veils Ottoman Period - Late 19th Century"
Circa 1880-1900 Greece Ottoman period Two very refined Greek towel veils from the Ottoman period. Openwork embroidery in polychrome silk threads and gold and silver blades on fine cream cotton-linen. The first (112 cm x 46 cm) with two ends embroidered with orthodox vases and candlesticks, double-sided embroidery. The second with stylized crowned roosters (96 cm x 43 cm) also double-sided (a few rare small halos of rust). No flaw. Good structural condition of color and conservation.
