Very pleasant oil on panel representing an aquatic landscape on the banks of the Seine. This painting is signed lower left AM Pêche. Alexandre Mathurin Pêche, French painter and sculptor born in Paris in 1872, he collaborated in 1900 in the decoration of the Palace of Civil Engineering for the Universal Exhibition. .He produced many pastels depicting Paris transformed during the Exhibition, thus expressing his fascination for these atmospheres. He obtained the academic palms in 1935. Our painting is in excellent condition, remarkable work of color and reflections. It is sold in a modern carved wooden frame in old gold color with a tiny cover of gilding on the back edge. Panel dimensions alone: 34.5cm x 23.5cm
