"Live Steam Locomotive"
Very interesting and extremely rare toy from the Napoleon III period, may be a litle before, complete in its original sheathed box, with a removable tray. The type 111 locomotive with its tander, both very finely made, does not generate its own steam by itself. The machine is connected to the boiler by tubes that can be screwed together, thus giving a different length depending on the number of pipes placed end to end. The locomotive has two single-acting cylinders fed by these ducts. The boiler, when it is driven by the locomotive, turns on an axis which is screwed in the center of the burner. The box contains a brass tank for the alcohol. Length of the locomotive: approximately 75 mm (traces of oxidation, a missing screw)
