Pretty pair of still lifes each signed by Jules Antoine Pelletier. A 19th century painter born in Amsterdam, he specializes in portraits and still lifes of fruit and flowers. Jules Antoine Pelletier exhibited from 1848 to 1880. He was a pupil of Rudder and Couture. The paintings that I present to you are oils on wooden panels. They have been cleaned by an approved museum restorer. The frames are recent. The panels measure: 16.5 cm X 12.5 cm The frames measure: 28.5 cm X 25 cm
