Healing a blind man is one of the five great miracles performed by Jesus. The Bible speaks of it in the Gospel of John. Joh.9.1-41 In the center of the icon is Jesus with his apostles on the left. Jesus holds in his left hand the sand which he smears with his right hand into the blind man's eyes On the right side is the blind man and above as he washes the sand from his eyes at the well. In the background the ramparts of Jerusalem. the icon is in very good condition. Greece around 1780. Collector's item!
