Large Oil On Canvas XIXth by François Louis Leon Carron representing a Monk Reading School Lyonnaise XIXth Circa 1870 Very beautiful painting by this rare artist. Signed lower right. The painting has just been cleaned and varnished, good condition, sold unframed. Dimensions: 91 x 73 cm Francois Louis Leon Carron French painter born in Lyon on November 27, 1844 Painter of history, animated interior scenes and still lifes. Raised by Jammot and Guichard at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Lyon, where he entered in 1860. He lived in Lyon and Geneva before settling in Paris. He appeared at the Lyon Salon since 1872 and that of Paris since 1874.
