Beautiful old Tibetan Damaru from the 2nd half of the 19th century.
it is composed of two cranial caps.
the two cords with their ends are missing.
there is a hole visible in the photos in the stretched part.
The damaru and the dugdugi (Bengal) are small Indian drums with two skins in the shape of an hourglass. In Nepal it is also called kal dab dab or kantan dab dab and in Tibet it is called thöd rnga.
