"Mazarin Chest Of Drawers"
This Mazarine chest of drawers, veneered with olive, blackened pear, barberry, boxwood and sycamore maple probably dates from the first half of the 19th century and may be attributed to Thomas Hache, cabinetmaker journeyman (1664/1747). The marquetry with the attributes of music is inlaid with bone, while the keyholes, handles and clog feet are in finely chiseled bronze. This unique masterpiece illustrates an ancestral know-how of artistic cabinetmaking without any presumption and will grace your interior with nobility. But why convenient "Mazarine"? It would seem that the first copy was made for the famous Mazarine library and its illustrious creator is none other than André Charles Boulle, cabinetmaker appointed to Louis XIV.
