Rare Louis XIII Walnut Chair, High Back, 17th Century

Very rare model of Louis XIII high back chair in solid walnut. Our seat rests on two front legs turned into a baluster and two strongly inclined rear legs with a square section and sloping sides, giving it great stability. These four legs are connected together by an H-shaped spacer turned into a baluster, as is the high crossbar on the facade. The backrest is very high and strongly inclined, providing great seating comfort. The seat is in very good condition and comfortable. The covering fabric is a beautiful Genoa velvet. Note some wear on the front of the seat. Studded finish. This model of chair is very rare due to its proportions and the exceptional inclination of its backrest (overhang of 26 cm!!!) as well as the rear legs.
