"Rare Art Deco Table With Mechanism"
Indeed, here is an Art Deco table that could be described as “two in one”. It has an original mechanism which allows you to adopt two different heights. Either in the living room table position (+_62 cm in height) or in use as a dinner, games or tea table (+_76 cm in height). All it takes is a light push and pull on a mechanical lever and, in virtually no time at all, the table moves up or down to suit your needs. This is a French table in the Art Deco style and period circa 1930. It is made of oak veneered with a spectacular flamed walnut, a beautiful streaked honey color. Its square top with rounded corners (90cm side) rests on four parallelepiped legs linked together by an original spacer. This is a rather modernist model. It has been completely restored to the original and repolished with a buffer. Its mechanism works perfectly. Here is an example of an elegant table, very practical with its dual use and with an appearance that is both warm and luxurious.
