- Very good condition, Interior grid removed with trace, some wear of the chiseled decoration.
- Silver teapot on a flat bottom. On the ovoid body slightly swollen in its upper part is fixed a small chute. The ogee lid edged with a moulding, without hinge, is cushioned by an exotic wood fretel reminiscent of the hold held by two cylindrical hoods. The body and the lid bear a finely chiseled decoration of rich drooping garlands of naturalistic flowers alternated with medallions held in place by large knots.
- Characteristic work from the end of the 18th century both in the form adopted and the decoration of garlands and cartouches held in place by large knots found in a good number of goldsmiths of the period: Robert-Joseph Auguste for the services of Russia such as that of Ekaterinoslav (Foelkersam, Tome I pl.39 ), Johann-Jacob Kirstein for the toilet service of the Princess of Deux-Ponts, or more simply by Louis-Joseph Milleraud-Bouty and Jean-Louis-Dieudonné Outrebon for a teapot from the Puiforcat collection (Faith Dennis, n°268)
