"Pair Of Hard Limestone Columns From The Southwest Of France"
Pair of hard limestone columns from the south-west of France, cut before the Renaissance, probably 14th or 15th century, originally supporting a series of arcatures or arches. With an attractive patina, these columns are in very good condition. The capitals with cut-off sides receive the shafts in penetration. The bases of 48 cm squared have been reported.
