Period late 19th century Dimension height 23.5 cm and base 10 cm in diameter About: Emile Joseph Nestor Carlier (Cambrai 1849 - Paris 1927) student of the Academies of Cambrai and Valenciennes and the School of Fine Arts of Paris . He debuted at the Salon in 1875, won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889, and received a medal of honor in Antwerp and Amsterdam. His work includes allegories, genre scenes and bronze busts. Many of these works appear in Museums in Bordeaux, Lyon, Cambrai, Paris at the Petit Palais and Palais Garnier.
