The male figure stands with his legs apart, resting on a rectangular base. He is wearing a loincloth and a carved wooden hat, and his chest is adorned with a shoulder strap decorated with numerous pendants. In his left hand, he is holding a circular shield and an iron cutter cut from a metal section.
The Musée du Quai Branly collection holds a number of similar statuettes.
