H. Thoring (pseudonym of Kai Drews) was a Danish painter educated at the Technical School of Art and other private art schools. He has participated in many exhibitions in Scandinavia and Europe. Kai Drews was first and foremost a landscape painter, known for his romantic and traditional landscapes of Zeeland and Dyrehaven in Denmark. Drews drew much inspiration from Danish master painter Peter Monsted.
