"Sewing Kit Box In Mother-of-pearl And Gilded Bronze Palais Royal"
Rare old mother-of-pearl embroidery kit dating from the first half of the 19th century. Sewing kit from the Palais Royal in a box in the shape of a coffee table with drawer resting on four claw feet. The box is made up of engraved mother-of-pearl plaques, sculpted and mounted on gilded bronze. The tools are made of mother-of-pearl and the needle case bears the enameled thought of the Palais Royal Des Accidents on the bottle cap and on the hook holder. The scissors are in fairly good condition, just a very small, barely visible chip (see photo with white arrows).
