"Bronze By A. Barye"
We present for sale this pretty bronze by A. BARYE representing an Irish Setter dog, certainly, having just brought a duck to its feet (these are retriever dogs). Our representation of this sculpture has an exceptional patina and has the founder's stamp on the side where it is written bronze guaranteed in the title, LV deposited and the signature A. BARYE. Alfred BARYE is the son of Antoine Louis BARYE born September 24, 1795 and died June 25, 1875, Alfred was born to him on January 21, 1839 and died in 1882, he was his father's apprentice, he always applied himself to have superb patinas.
