Object description :

"Pair Of Vases In Bronze And Cloisonne Email; Japan, End Of The 19th Century."
Pair of archaic Japanese bronze vases with brown patina and "Shippo" type cloisonné enamels. Meiji period, late 19th - early 20th century.
Overall condition is good. However, they both have vertical incisions at the base, as if one day we wanted to remove a piece of metal (which fortunately did not succeed!), perhaps in order to make lamps? ?... One of the two also has a very slight depression at the base of the body, not very visible to the eye, which has caused a tiny crack visible only from the inside, in the light (see last photo) .
Sold in pairs. Taking into account the weight, a shipment must be evaluated, in addition, according to distance. Height = 30 and 30.2 cm Diameter at the neck = 11 cm; at the belly = 20 cm; at the base = 13.5 cm Weight for the pair = 4,600 kg
