Swiss collector and painter, Jean Planque worked all his life but never exhibited his works. His first paintings, produced in Aix en Provence, bear the influence of Cézanne. Little by little through contact with artists he met such as Dubuffet and Picasso, his art was transformed.
He then moved closer to the avant-gardes of the time, creating modern works close to Bissière, Tobey and Dubuffet. His collection of more than 300 paintings, drawings and sculptures, from Impressionism to the major artists of the 20th century (Cézanne, Monet, Van Gogh, Degas, Bonnard Picasso, Braque, de Stael Dubuffet, etc.) as well as his own works are registered at the Granet Museum in Aix en Provence since 2011.
Exhibitions: Museums of Morges (Switzerland), Lausanne, Pont-Aven and Galerie des 3 Ormeaux-Portalis Aix en Provence.
