Magnificent inkwell in the shape of a snake, the body in molded crystal chiselled in the shape and texture of a coiled snake and head in solid silver. This is an English object (silver hallmark with a lion passant) that is out of the ordinary. The crystal body is of very good quality. The head has eyes and opens to put ink. Good house condition, the end of the tail seems a little scratched but this is not visible in the exhibition position and a slot in the crystal in the tail.
