"1st Empire - “klingental Skew” Sword – “nicolas Cherrer” Punch. 1807-1809 - 19th Century"
1st Empire (May 18, 1804 to April 6, 1814), sword bearing the marking on the heel of the blade of "COULEAUX à KLINGENTAL" and hallmark "Starred C" of Mr NICOLAS CHERRER", inspector at the Klingental factory from 06-06 -1807 to December 1809, 19th century. Globular pommel engraved with dimensions with riveting button. Filigree fuse and long quillon in an inverted "U" and curved towards the blade with the ends in the shape of washers. Flat blade with 2 edges and 2 grooves central on the 2 thirds. Blade bearing hallmarks, “Star C” and “Couleaux-Klingental”, at the heel (see photos).
