Soft paste porcelain cup from the Sèvres factory gilded with gold leaf. According to the marks, the model as well as the decoration were made in 1969. The following indented mint mark: “AG-4-69 PAA”, which indicates that the decoration of the piece was made in April 1969. Decoration by Mahiedine Boutaleb. 

Born in 1918, it was in Algiers that Mahieddine Boutaleb (1918-1994) developed his artistic skills. He was a student of Omar Racim in 1931 at the school of indigenous arts in Algiers. He studied miniature in the prestigious school of illumination of the Racim brothers in the early 1940s. He was a decorator at the Sèvres factory between 1945 and 1978. He highlighted his Arab-Muslim inspirations, in particular in his large-scale decorations. fire.
