He began his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, under the direction of sculptor Augusto Rivalta, then moved to Paris and completed his training under the direction of Victorien-Antoine Bastet. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1902 to 1923.
