"Jacob Frères, Consulate Period Cabinet Armchair."
Superb cabinet armchair in carved mahogany, mahogany veneer and black patinated beech. The backrest with a wide hemicycle band, openwork with finely carved trellis decoration. The armrests have a lion's head, the front shank legs and the rear saber legs.The openwork composition of the file is strictly identical to that of a set delivered by Jacob Frères, unstamped, in 1800 for the Tuileries Palace, then installed in 1807 in Fontainebleau in a dining room of the princes' apartment.

The armchair has a leather label under the seat with an inventory number '433'.
Good quality green leather trim, sawtooth leather braid.
Photos on a dark background (without artificial light) then in situation to appreciate all their beauty.
Very good state of conservation, usual restorations.
