"Rare Empire Console With Winged Griffins In Mahogany"
Rare Empire mahogany console with winged griffins. It rests on straight mahogany legs at the back and on sculpted winged griffins in Hungarian oak with a bronze patina at the front. These griffins rest on an entablature in mahogany veneer with black patina molding. It is topped with a magnificent white marble top veined with original gray entirely hand-cut (see photo). Small repair formerly made (or maybe even original) on the left side of the board. Old probably Russian work from the beginning of the 19th century.
