Turquin blue marble or similar. This pair of beautiful pot pourris is characterized by their fluid elegance.
The marble body is supported by three thin feet placed on a thin base decorated in its center with a rosette of leaves. The feet end in a swan's neck and head around the marble and in ram's feet on the base.
The body is surrounded by a charming post frieze decorated with clovers and leaves.
The design of the elegant days under the lid through which the perfumes escaped are with the post friezes and the clover leaves typical of the charm without vanity of objects of this period.
Two clusters of opposing berries serve at the top as a grip for the lid and between the feet of the potpourri as a pendant decoration. This work, unusual in its finesse, was probably an order made to a haberdasher.
