Beautiful early 20th century watercolor by Emile Appay representing a view of the Seine at La Bouille, in Normandy. Signed lower right and located. Very good state. Visible in the 17th. Count 15 euros for France and 22 euros for the EU The frame measures 36.5 He trained with his grandfather, printer-lithographer, then with Henri Harpignies and Paul Lecomte. The artist participated in the Salon des Armées of 1917 and the Salon of 1920, exhibiting in galleries such as Jules Gautier (1911, 1913 – Landscapes of Corsica, 1922), Chaperon (1922 – Landscapes of the Côte d'Azur) or Georges Petit (1914). Appay executed a set in the Salle de Fête at the Hôtel de France in Rouen for his friend Mr. Dubuisson (1927). In 1911, the Picardie Museum acquired a watercolor of Le Ponte Vecchio, which won a bronze medal from the Society of Friends of the Arts of Amiens. Two sales of his works were organized at the Hôtel Drouot: April 7, 1911 and March 18, 1919.
