"Stone Marquetry Box By Tahan. Napoleon 3 Period"
Beautiful and large scalloped-shaped box in blackened wood resting on 4 spinning top legs in gilded bronze, the edges decorated with molded gilt bronze sticks, all sides decorated with brass sticks. The lid is decorated with a flower marquetry in hard stones. The box is signed on the lock, itself functional and with its key. The interior is sheathed in a crimson red velvet. Napoleon 3 period.
