Object description :

"Cabinet In Diminutive Called Master"
Rare master piece of furniture, common name for these pieces of furniture in diminutive, models or sample pieces for the cabinetmaker, this one is the model of a Louis XIV period Rhine Valley cabinet, beautiful proportions, in oak with a pretty patina, the furniture takes up the architecture of late Renaissance cabinets with cut-off corner pilasters, and doors with rectangular panels. The base is molded with two drawers with original brass pull knobs. The interior was completed in the 19th century by the addition of two small cabinet-style drawers. The decorative objects, eglomise glass cups, Alsatian folk art work from the 19th century, are on sale separately from the master cupboard, price on request.
