Beautiful old painting late 19th century (1891), oil on canvas dated/signed lower right Alexandre Serres, bearing his monogram (AS), representing a still life with a bouquet of flowers in a vase. Beautiful floral arrangement with dahlias, carnations and other perennials. Subtle play of light where the faded white petals illuminate the bottom of the painting. In its gilded wooden frame (small gap of 2 cm on the exterior molding at the bottom right). All in very good condition, see photos. Total dimensions 82 cm x 61 cm, canvas only 65 cm x 46 cm.
