Georges Lapchine - Snow Landcape, Around 1930 - Russian School

 Sumptuous winter spectacle, this path lined with a fence and majestic pines under the snow. Its dazzling whiteness with its bluish shadows contrasts with the deep green of the trees, becoming acid green under the rays of the sun.

It's by the hand of the Russian painter Georges Lapchine.
Born in 1885 in Moscow, Georges Lapchine died in 1951.
He was a student of Fernand Cormon and Léon Lhermitte.
Strongly inspired by the Impressionists, his favorite subjects are the Provence, and winter's landcape of his natale Russian.
Active in France, he has exhibited in Paris at the "Salons des Artistes Français" and des "Indépendants" since 1925.
