"Covered Sugar Bowl In Lined Metal And Crystal Restoration Period"
Beautiful covered sugar bowl from the Restoration period in diamond-cut crystal and silver-lined metal frame decorated with vine branches. Illegible goldsmith's mark, but good state of conservation of the silvering. The scroll handles are decorated with acanthus leaves and compote bowls garnished with fruit. The fretel of the lid represents stylized fruits resting on a base decorated with palmettes. The upper rim of the cup is decorated with vine branches on an amati background. The partially openwork square base (12 cm side) is decorated with palmettes and rests on four clown and ball feet.
