Indian Huntress By Charles Cumberworth

Artist: Charles Cumberworth
Bronze sculpture representing an Indian huntress signed by Charles Cumberworth, French artist sculptor 1811-1852 son of an English officer and a French mother who settled in Paris.
Student of Pradier at the Paris School of Fine Arts.
He likes to represent female sculptures and some of his works can be found in the Louvre Museum. We also find the inscription E. De labroue bronzier, who is a well-known and recognized French founder who also worked with Pradier. Very beautiful subject, decorative and beautifully crafted.
