Indo-isfahan Rug / Wool And Silk. 270x180 Cm

Elegant rug in wool called "Kork" and silk made on  silk, Ispahan Design, Extra Fine Quality. Around 1980.

The rugs are hand-knotted in India, modeled on Persian rugs. Hence their name Indo-Isfahan.
The oriental motifs of the carpets are medallions or repetitions of motifs, but also the representation of the tree of life. The rugs are very well executed, and the silk gives them finesse and lightness, with a beautiful shiny appearance.
The use of silk also makes it possible to create very fine patterns and one can only be impressed by the work necessary to create a rug. These beautiful  silk rugs give  a smooth, soft texture with natural beauty and luster.

On a midnight blue field appear polychrome floral medallions in the shape of a starry diamond, surrounded by petals and flower buds. A main ruby border with interlacing fine torrential branches, itself framed by seven multicolored flowered counter borders.

A rug of rare finesse made with such attention to detail and elegance that it is indistinguishable from a real Persian rug from Isfahan!!
Its sumptuous colors differ depending on the essence of its exposure to light, to the sun..

Dimensions: 270x180 cm
Condition: Frayed fringes, small white dots visible on the edges at the selvedges. Otherwise it is in perfect condition.
