This large dish with a diameter of 52 cm comes from the earthenware factory of Antoine Montagnon (1838-1899) founded in 1648 in Nevers bought by A. Montagnon in 1875, who worked until 1899. This important round dish is made of earthenware polychrome in the style of Italian majolica with biblical decoration. This dish relates the passage of three valiant soldiers of King David who penetrate the enemy lines of the Philistines, with the gate of Bethlehem in the background, to look for water but King David refuses to drink it. The wing of the dish is decorated with flowers, as well as two crosses. Mark on the back The dish is in perfect condition
