Magnificent flat desk in presidential format in thuja burl veneer designed by André DOMIN and Marcel GENEVRIERE, the famous art deco decorators for Maison DOMINIQUE in Paris.
We find in this creation the codes of the flat desk of classic french styles and the cubist influence of the art-deco. The top, highlighted by a gilded bronze bangle, is covered in brown leather decorated with a gilded double net on the edge and a central geometric motif . Gilded bronze bangle also found on the side rib consoles and on the visitor side. A small sausage of cedar runs along the lower curves of the desk, accentuating finesse and elegance.
Two belt drawers with off-center locks for ergonomics and aesthetics.
Superb quality with a solid oak frame.
CIRCA 1940
Very good condition, new french polish made by our workshop, leather top changed, gilded friezes and patterns have been redone identically by an artisan upholsterer.
