"Console With Four Curved Legs, Louis XV Period"
Louis XV period console resting on four arched legs ending in lion claws enclosing a ball. The cut-out belt is decorated with a central cartouche simulating a heart. It is topped with a thick gray marble tablet with a molded edge. Natural wood, probably ash or chestnut, with gilding highlights on the reliefs Good general condition, metal reinforcements under the belt. Note the old presence of worm holes in two places (see one in the photo). The creatures have all been euthanized but cosmetic filling work remains to be done. German work (?) from the 18th century.
