Artist: Marcel Claude Renard, Lyon 1893- Paris 1974
A sculptor and medalist, he was a student of his father Léopold Renard, of Rost and of Boucher. He exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français of which he was an out-of-competition member. Silver medal in 25, gold in 34 and second Grand Prix de Rome for engraving in medal. He was a promoter of the renovation of the art of the medal. His style is typical of the 20s.
