Object description :

"Edmond Quinton (1892-1969) - Riverside - Oil On Cardboard"
Oil on cardboard by Edmond Quinton (1892-1969) depicting a riverside with a picturesque village on the horizon.

Edmond Quinton was a French painter, draughtsman and engraver. He trained with his father, Clément Quinton, who was already a renowned painter. His bucolic landscapes, straddling the line between naturalism and impressionism, have the simplicity of great mastery. With a few confident strokes, he immortalised the French countryside and established himself as one of the most famous painters of the Marne valley.
