"Clock "young Elegant Woman With A Fan" Richond"
Clock from the Louis-Phillipe period around 1850, signed "Richond Bd Montmartre" watchmaker referenced in the Tardy, dictionary of French watchmakers. Set of high manufacture, bronze architecture covered with a very beautiful gold mercury gilding in a remarkable state of preservation, rich details and finely executed carvings. Figure of an elegant young woman with a fan seated on a finely ornamented armchair. Silvered bronze dial underlined by a guilloché outline. Rectangular base decorated with chiseled high relief of acanthus leaves.

Original mechanism without modification, wire suspension, striking the hours and half hours on an old bell.
