"L. Dubois, Very Important Landscape La Glane At The Corot Site In Saint Junien, Haute Vienne (87)."
Very important painting representing the La Glane river crossing an undergrowth. This oil on canvas was produced near the Corot site around Limoges in Haute-Vienne near Saint-Junien. This place was named in homage to the pre-impressionist painter Jean Baptiste Corot (1796-1875) who loved this place very much and who found a source of inspiration there. He used to come there as a painter around the 1850s. This landscape is signed lower left by the artist L. Dubois, and monogrammed MOF for Meilleur Ouvrier de France. In fact he was also a porcelain decorator and master enameler. Our oil on canvas is sold with its carved wooden frame and waxed patina. Dimensions: frame: 163 cm
